Empowering a Mutually Beneficial Ecosystem
For Growers
It’s time to clean out — improve supply chain costs and maximize profits with sustainable, reliable bedding.
For Integrators
We handle it all — reduce environmental risk from poultry litter while optimizing operations and performance.
For Communities
A collective commitment — ensure clean water, air, and pollution-free land with improved local conditions.
An Industry First: Manure-as-a-Service™
Poulterra’s Manure-as-a-Service (MaaS) model works by planting miscanthus at or near the poultry farm — providing the bedding in exchange for last year’s litter (bedding plus manure). By enabling the processing of poultry litter into high-value products like low-carbon fuel, carbon-neutral industrial CO₂, and sustainable inputs for regenerative agriculture, our MaaS program is a highly effective solution for waste management on poultry farms and operates at an unprecedented scale.
The Core Benefits of Our Solution
How we’re driving positive impact in poultry production.
Sustainable Poultry Starts with One Crop: Miscanthus
Miscanthus is a carbon-negative, perennial grass that provides unmatched quality and reliability for the poultry industry. As the only company in the United States pioneering miscanthus as a MaaS solution, our bedding alternative is safer for the birds and better for the environment.
By preventing agricultural runoff, miscanthus not only restores soil health and operates on marginal lands, but also provides poultry growers, farmers, and landowners a means to diversify revenue. Poulterra’s ownership includes the world’s largest miscanthus producer, with patents on genetics, seeding, planting, and harvesting.
